Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Duluth

Glamping, Heated, Sauna, Wifi, Quiet, Pet Friendly
Our weekend stay at the yurt was absolutely fantastic! It was the perfect escape for the weekend. The yurt was incredibly clean and well-maintained, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. From the cozy interior to the thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home, everything was just right. The peaceful surroundings added to the charm, making it an ideal spot to unwind. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy another serene getaway in this lovely yurt! Highly recommend!

Hillside Tiny Home with Private Sauna
This was the perfect getaway! You definitely get what you pay for!

Lovely 2 Bedroom Duplex
This is our second time staying here! The home is easy to find, easy to park and so spacious! We were in town to run a race so we actually didn't get a chance to spend much time there but the snacks were so appreciated! I was also grateful that there were other options for sleeping. The bed wasn't the most comfortable and it was pretty squeaky so any movement from either partner kept us up and I needed a little more support after a long run so I moved to the futon in the other room and slept like a rock in there! The shower is incredible! I would highly recommend staying here to anyone looking to come to the area but not wanting to stay in the middle of the city!

White Pine Cottage
Great space! Cozy and the perfect fit for 2 adults (plus some wiggle room for a few more) located in a great spot between downtown moose lake and the state park. Easy to access as it’s on a residential road, but when you’re in the backyard you don’t even notice- it feels like you’re deep in the woods! The road wasn’t too busy, I maybe heard 5 cars total and a handful of folks going for walks. I only have two complaints. The first is that the WiFi is spotty. Not the end of the world, when it works it’s fast. However we had some frustration streaming tv one night. The other, that the front porch was under construction and thus inaccessible which was not discussed until the day of our reservation. A small hiccup on an otherwise great trip! We would 100% stay here again! It was so clean and all of the local recommendations were great!!

Cozy Parkplace Cabin
this is a very nice place to stay. right off the lake. it's right outside of town.

Applegate Cottage - South Shore of Lake Superior
What a great get away for a nice weekend! Located in a cute small town in Herbster WI, the people were friendly and so helpful, the views were amazing down by the beach, and the place was in a pretty secluded peacful location! Maureen made sure we had everything we needed and made sure to check in asking how the stay was going and if there was anything to improve, I honestly thought it’s was very clean and very spacious, I had 2 labs that came with me on my stay as well and she was more than accommodatable for them, the fenced in part of the yard on the side of the house was a great little bonus as we could let them out with ease, we didn’t get to use the fire pit out back just because we ran out of time, but we did Stargaze a little and it is absolutely amazing out there, and a killer spot to see the northern lights if you’re looking for some adventure! I would 10 out of 10 recommend booking with Maureen, she was a great host and we are very excited to come back and stay again!

Secluded woods/lakeshore home, complete amenities
This is our third year staying at this AirBnB and we love it. It has plenty of space for our family and is beautiful and peaceful. The game room is great for the kids and we enjoy cozying up around the fireplace and playing games around the table. There’s a small hill for the younger kids to sled down and we hike around the lake when the weather is cold. Thanks for letting us use your place and we look forward to staying their again!

Peaceful A-frame cabin on Sturgeon Island
What a wonderful experience! Host was so responsive! This A-Frame had all to simple attention to detail to include all the fixings for s’mores! Location was so peaceful! If I could I would return sooner than later! I cannot recommend highly enough! As they say… “just do it!” Kris

Lakewalk House at Lake Superior Brewing Brewtel
Had a great time with my family and extended family in-tow. We loved the area, including the home being in vicinity to all you could need was a huge plus. We would recommend.

Entire home sleeps 7, convenient location
The home is easy to find with a lit address sign on the street. the interior design and layout of the house is unique and would have accommodated the guests we anticipated but who had to bow out. Very close to UMD, Bagley Nature Area. Every place we wanted to go was easy to drive and park. We had no need to communicate with our host during the trip. Even snow was anticipated with a shovel to help us get out of the driveway Sunday morning.

We found the Treasure House a true Treasure. It was clean and smelled fresh. We felt very comfortable just like we were home. We also brought our new E Bikes to try out and enjoyed riding out to Baker Island and then around town. We will certainly book with Andrew and Ibeth again when in town.

Five friends had a great stay at The Trailhouse. We spent time at an event in Duluth, then explored Duluth and visited the lake. The house was a convenient drive to everything we wanted to do. Matthew was very responsive if we had questions. Everything was clean. Big functional kitchen, open to the dining and living room. Take the scenic drive from I35 on 210, if you can. It was beautiful.

Your guide to Duluth
All About Duluth
Some associate Duluth with a bygone era of locomotives, lighthouses, and small-but-mighty tugboats, but this quaint, authentic Minnesota town is much more than a journey into the past. The port city, located on the shores of Lake Superior, is the perfect place for those who choose to go a bit off the beaten path when it comes to their stays and vacations. Duluth has a long, fascinating history that is intertwined with the great railroads of the 19th century, and people interested in that once-indomitable industry will find plenty to see and investigate during their visit. Modern-day Duluth has plenty to offer to today’s traveler, with a wealth of secrets, hideouts, shops, and social gathering spots that are well worth seeking out.
The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Duluth
Wintertime in Minnesota and the American Midwest can be downright freezing. But don’t let that dissuade you from a late- or early-year visit: locals tend to wear their winter coats like badges of honor. Duluth turns it up a notch during the holiday season, as the Bentleyville Tour of Lights illuminates a dark winter’s evening. Outside of winter, spring is a frenzy of life and ice-thaw, and summer is a non-stop flurry of outdoor activity, maximum daylight, and minimum sleep. For those looking to rent a cabin in Duluth or take advantage of some vacation rentals, fall might be the finest season weather-wise.
Top things to do in Duluth
Glensheen Estate
This historic mansion stretches across 20,000 square feet, and its Jacobean architectural style and period furnishings qualify it as a historic house museum, operated by the University of Minnesota Duluth. Tours, events, and concerts are regularly scheduled on the Glensheen grounds.
Take a Train Ride on the North Shore Scenic Railroad
The great American railroad corporations of the 19th century play a significant role in Duluth’s history, and the North Shore Scenic Railroad serves as a time-traveling portal back into that bygone transportation era. Schedule a trip on a restored, vintage train through downtown Duluth, Canal Park, and Two Harbors and feel the history as you roll over every picturesque bridge and timber trestle.
Canal Park
Canal Park is the centerpiece of Duluth’s downtown revival, and it’s no wonder it has become such a popular gathering spot for locals and out-of-towners alike. Take in the park’s sculpture garden after you hit up one of the many charming coffee shops, then enjoy a late lunch or dinner at the surrounding bistros and eateries. You can peruse the pier and watch the ships come in, then head out to the jazz club for an awesome evening’s entertainment.
